Focus Carolina: Sheryl Zimmerman
An internationally recognized expert in long-term care services for older adults, Sheryl Zimmerman is a Kenan Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean of Research in the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also co-directs the research program on aging, disability, and long-term care in the UNC Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research. Dr. Zimmerman has developed evidence-based practices to help caregivers across a range of settings respond to medical events and provide care for activities of daily living.
