Focus Carolina: Allison Aiello
Dr. Allison Aiello is a professor of epidemiology in the Gillings School of Global Public Health, where she studies how diseases like the flu are spread and what social factors might determine who gets a disease, how often it might recur and how it is spread. She is an expert in influenza, investigating non-pharmaceutical interventions for flu prevention. Some of the studies incorporate the use of smart phone apps.
