DiGrazia named University Registrar

Lauren DiGrazia

Lauren DiGrazia has been appointed the assistant vice provost and University registrar.

Originally from Dracut, Massachusetts, DiGrazia attended the University of Connecticut where she earned a bachelor of general studies in health and human services in 2003 and a master of social work in administration in 2011.

As an undergraduate, DiGrazia began working at the Office of the Registrar at the University of Connecticut, where she discovered her passion for the advancement of higher education.

She became a full-time staff member in 2001 and served as an office assistant, assistant registrar for enrollment services and associate registrar for operations before she was named university registrar in 2012.

As registrar, she contributed to the development of policies and practices that advanced the University of Connecticut in a challenging and ever-changing environment. She was an active member of the university community, serving as a university senator and on a variety of committees including the senate executive, scholastic standards and diversity committees.

Also active in national professional organizations, DiGrazia is a frequent presenter at conferences and a leader within the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, acting as the vice chair of the academic records committee and as a member of the study abroad committee.
