Depression screening will be offered by the Department of Psychiatry on Oct. 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. on the first floor of the Neurosciences Hospital and at the Women's Center at 210 Henderson St. No appointment is necessary. Participants at the Neurosciences Hospital site will receive a parking pass.
Participants will be educated about depression, complete an anonymous written screening form for depression and have the opportunity to discuss the results with a mental health professional.
Common symptoms of depression include feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, restlessness and irritability, changes in sleep and appetite, loss of energy, and thoughts of death or suicide.
