UNC Health Care, together with the student organization Donate Life and the American Red Cross, will sponsor a bone marrow "typing" drive Sept. 22 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the third-floor classroom in the Neurosciences Hospital.
The drive's goal is to identify 300 new potential donors who can be added to the National Marrow Donor Program Registry, which matches patients to donors all over the world.
People ages 18-60 in good health may be typed using a blood sample.
Contact Kathy Darst at Kdarst@unch.unc.edu for more information.
