School of Public Health receives funding

The School of Public Health has received about $1.2 million to support a Center for Excellence in Health Statistics from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The center will focus on health promotion and disease prevention in underserved populations and will be tied closely to the school's Minority Health Project.
