Sonia Sanchez, the Laura Carnell professor of English and chair of the Women's Studies Program at Temple University, will deliver the sixth annual Sonja Haynes Stone Memorial Lecture Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in Carroll Hall auditorium. A reception will follow at the Ackland Art Museum.
The author of 16 books and contributing editor of two journals, her honors include a National Endowment for the Arts Award, a Pew Fellowship in the Arts and a Governor's Award for Excellence in the Humanities.
