PlayMakers Repertory Company's new production, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, will run March 10 through April 4. Nagle Jackson will direct Jeffrey Blair Cornell, Pauline Flanagan, Brendan O'Malley and Shelley Williamson in this darkly comic, Irish thriller.
The Beauty Queen of Leenane won the Best Play Award from the Outer Critics Circle, the Drama League and the Drama Desk in addition to four Tony Awards. It was praised by the New York Times as "a stunning new play...like sitting down to a square meal after a long diet of salads and hors d'oeuvres" and the London Times praised it as "hilarious, shocking and magical."
Tickets are on sale now, priced from $9 to $25. All performances will take place in the Paul Green Theatre Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. For more information, call PlayMakers Box Office at 2-PLAY.
