WUNC-FM to hold spring concert for Composers-in-Context Series


WUNC-FM will present the spring concert of the WUNC Composers-in-Context Series March 20 at 8 p.m. in Hill Hall Auditorium.

A pre-concert discussion at 7 p.m. will feature the performers, guest composer Scott Lindroth and WUNC Composer-in-Residence Nathaniel Stookey. A broadcast highlighting concert performances will air on WUNC-FM on April 8 at 9 p.m.

The concert will feature past and present faculty of Greensboro's Eastern Music Festival: violinists Svend Ronning and Susan Black, cellist Paige Riggs and pianist Linda Blondel. The program includes works by Corelli, Debussy and Lindroth, a Duke University professor. Lindroth's "Duo for Violins" will be released in April.

Tickets are available from the Carolina Union Box Office. Prices are $10 for general admission and $8 for seniors and may be purchased by calling 2-1449.
