World View, a new program at Carolina, is hosting two inaugural seminars for educators in March: "Hispanics in North Carolina: Challenges and Potential" and "Ten Years After the Fall of the Soviet Union."
The seminar series begins with "Hispanics in North Carolina" on March 16-17 at the Friday Center. The seminar is co-sponsored by the Institute of Latin American Studies, the International Social Studies Project and INTRAH in the School of Medicine.
The second seminar, on Russia, will occur March 17-18, also at the Friday Center. It's co-sponsored by the Center for Slavic, Eurasian, and Eastern European Studies; the International Social Studies Project; and the Office of International Affairs in the School of Medicine.
As an extension of the Russia seminar, a study tour of Russia and Finland is planned for June 13-27.
