A $16.1 million expansion and renovation of the Institute of Government's
Joseph Palmer Knapp Building has closed several entrances to the building.
Visitors need to park in the N-6 lot off Raleigh Road and follow signs to temporary entrances.
All Institute employees will continue to work in the building during the
construction and renovation, but nearly all classes will be held elsewhere.
The first phase of the project is expected to continue through December 1999.
When completed, the Knapp Building will increase from 65,000 square feet to
121,000 square feet.
