Garden tours and events


A "Summer Tour of Coker Arboretum" on July 18 is one of many activities offered by the North Carolina Botanical Garden.

Coker Arboretum Curator Andrea Presler will lead the tour from 9 to 11 a.m. on July 18. The tour starts at the stone pillars between Davie and Howell halls and costs $12 for the public and $10 for foundation members.

Other programs include classes on ferns, programs for children and tours of the North Carolina Botanical Garden, which is located on the south of U.S. 15-501 Bypass in Chapel Hill. The garden is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Weekend hours for the Totten Center and collections are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
