Employees who are scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the Tuition Waiver Program, where the University will pay their tuition and fees for one course per semester. They make take the course at any of the 16 schools in the UNC system, but first they must be admitted to the university where the course is offered.
Friday is the deadline to register for part-time admission to Carolina for the fall semester through Continuing Studies. For full-time admission, employees should consult the appropriate departmental office. For admission to another UNC system school, employees must contact the appropriate admissions office for information about the school's requirements.
To apply for the Tuition Waiver Program, complete the "Tuition Waiver Request for UNC-CH Employee" form (form HR-83), available from Training and Development. Send the completed form, with your department head's signature, to Training and Development, CB# 1045, before the first day of classes.
