Enjoy an evening of outdoor drama with Pathway to Freedom, performed at the amphitheater near Snow Camp at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 2. The evening begins with a 6 p.m. buffet style dinner at Ye Old Country Kitchen with discussion following.
The play describes events and some of the people involved in the secret transfer of escaped slaves from North Carolina to points north during the 1840s and 1850s. It is recommended for children age 8 and older.
Cost is $25 per adult, $12 per child for General Alumni Association members and $35 per adult, $20 per child for non-members. Register by July 25 by calling Meredith Lewis, 2-3574.
