Jeanie Williams, administrative secretary with the Department of Medicine, was named the first
recipient of the department's SPA Staff Excellence Award. She was nominated by departmental staff and faculty members
for her dedication and outstanding performance.
"Jeanie is at the hub of our division's activities," a nominator said. "Whether managing budgets or people, coordinating events or staff/faculty, she seems tireless. She is quick to give assistance, not criticism, when work demands are high and to intercede, not impede, when problems arise."
Williams received a certificate, two days of paid leave and a $100 cash award.
