Upright Revco Ultra cold freezers manufactured between May 1, 1994, and Feb. 28, 1995, may have defective cam latches, which could lead to the door accidentally opening. Signs of this condition are loose mounting points of the mounting plate where the handle is attached to the door.
Please check your freezer immediately. To determine if a freezer was manufactured during this time period, check the serial number, which is located on the left side on a silver tag located just above the data plate. Revco will replace the latch free of charge.
