The Morehead Planetarium will offer several free observing sessions to help skywatchers find Comet Hyakutake.
Sessions planned at Ebenezer Church Recreation Area on Jordan Lake will be held 8-10 p.m. this Friday and Saturday and March 29. Sessions planned on the planetarium's observing decks will be held 8-10 p.m. March 24, 30 and 31.
Planetarium staff will be on hand with telescopes to help observers, who are encouraged to bring binoculars. If the skies are cloudy or the weather is bad, the sessions will be canceled.
