Native-American culture celebrated March 25-30

A dance and drum workshop, movie screening and talking circle are some of the featured events celebrating Native-American culture March 25-30. The public events are sponsored by the Carolina Indian Circle:

*Dance and drum workshop, 7 p.m. March 25 in 100 Hamilton Hall.

*Screening of the movie Clearcut, 7 p.m. March 26 in 100 Hamilton Hall, followed by a discussion with Blythe Forcey, lecturer in Native American studies.

*Traditional talking circle, 7 p.m. March 27 in 205 Student Union.

*Featured address, 7 p.m. March 28 in 100 Greenlaw Hall. Ward Churchill, a Native American political activist and a founder of the American Indian Movement, will discsuss "White Studies: The Intellectual Imperialism of U.S. Education."

*Powwow, 10 a.m. March 30 in the Union's Great Hall.
