Program targets depression

The School of Medicine has begun offering a series of hourlong cognitive group therapy sessions to help people dealing with mild to moderate depression.

The program--offered by the Department of Psychiatry's outpatient clinic--helps participants identify destructive thought processes and replace them with more positive ones. It is led by William H. Friedman, clinical professor of psychiatry, and E. Rackley Ivey, a member of the psychiatry staff.

The cost is $75 per session. For information, call Ivey, 6-5711.
