Looking for a recent aerial photograph of the campus? Try the Department of Transportation and Parking, which has color aerial photographs taken in January 1992, 1994 and 1996.
The photographs typically include areas bounded by N.C. Hwy. 54 on the south, two blocks north of Rosemary Street on the north, a north-south line running parallel to Merritt Mill Road on the west and another running adjacent to the UNC General Administration building on the east.
Photographs are shot at a scale of 1 inch equaling 200 feet, and enlargements can be custom-ordered for certain campus areas. Costs vary from $550 for a 48" x 50" print to more than $1,000 for larger prints.
