Faculty and staff can learn more about the wonders of modern medicine through the Mini-Medical School--a series of five weekly public lectures given by School of Medicine faculty.
The program begins March 19, with pre-registration required by March 5. Lectures are given from 7-9 p.m. at the Friday Center.
Nearly 500 people attended last year's program, and suggestions from those who attended have been incorporated into this year's program, said John Stokes, director of Institutional Relations at UNC Hospitals.
Registration is $25 per person, with science teachers and their students charged $15. A grant from Glaxo Wellcome supports the program.
