PlayMakers features audience discussion, special performance

PlayMakers Repertory Company features its third in the Center Stage Saturdays series following the Feb. 17 matinee performance of The Seagull.

The free, public dissussion begins at about 4:45 p.m., featuring remarks by Paul Debreczeny, Alumni Distinguished professor of Russian literature, and will be moderated by Christopher R. Baker, resident dramaturge for PRC and Department of Dramatic Art faculty member.

PRC also presents a special staged reading of Tennessee Williams' The Two-Character Play at 8 p.m. Feb. 26. The production features acclaimed actress Elizabeth Ashley and Keir Dullea, the award-winning actor currently starring in The Seagull.

The Two-Character Play dramatizes the relationship between a brother and sister and closely mirrors Williams' relationship with his own sister. "This is me, and it's my most personal work," Williams said of the play.

Tickets, priced at $20 and $40, are available from the box office at 2-PLAY. The $40 ticket, available to 100 people, includes a post-performance reception at The Siena Hotel/Il Palio Ristorante.
