JJR holds public session tonight

Representatives of Johnson, Johnson and Roy Inc. land-use consultants will hold a special public work session with Chapel Hill and Carrboro advisory committees from 6:30-8:30 this evening at the Friday Center Seminar Room.

The advisory committees are seeking clarification on issues raised during JJR's general proposals for the Horace Williams and Mason Farm properties, outlined Nov. 30.

"This will offer an opportunity for the committee members, as well as the general public, to ask specific questions of our consultants," said Bruce Runberg, associate vice chancellor for facilities management. "The sole purpose of this visit is to broaden the understanding of JJR's alternatives, in a discussion format, so that informed consideration can be given to those proposals."

The consultants will return to Chapel Hill March 19-22 to receive feedback from the advisory committees, both towns and the public.
