New lunch bag filled with a variety of food

This year's lunch menu includes a choice of garden salad with Italian dressing or a sandwich filled with ham, turkey, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato. With either selection comes an apple, chips, pasta salad, cookie and assorted beverages, which range from sweetened or unsweetened iced tea to any Coca-Cola product.

The polypropylene lunch bags from previous years will be replaced with a cream-colored natural canvas material. The tote-style bags, which employees can keep, will include both the fair logo and that of the Physical Plant's Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling, which donates the bags.

Also, it's not too late to volunteer during the fair.

"Response has been terrific," said Candace Clark (development), volunteer chair, "but I could use a little more help, primarily during the fair and for clean up." Those who help clean up are eligible for special prizes, she said.

To find out how you can help, contact Clark at 2-3967, fax 2-2387 or e-mail dvcfc.dev@mhs.unc.edu.

The fair is coordinated by the University Managers Association.

Food chair Mary Nickerson (physicians & associates) shows this year's lunch bag and food for the May 17 Employee Appreciation Fair.
