Know someone whose consistently excellent service to the University goes unnoticed? Nominate him or her for the new Robert R. Cornwell Unsung Hero Award by April 25. The award was created this year by the Office of Institutional Research in recognition of the long-term contribution of Cornwell, who died unexpectedly in 1994.
The award will be given annually to honor someone who has provided significant and long-time service in support of the University and generally from a background position, said Tim Sanford, director of institutional research.
"Excellence in the quality of work performed will be the standard used for selecting the recipient, but of equal importance is the likelihood that the employee's work is unnoticed by much of the University community," he said.
