Child/elder care providers sought

The Employee Services Department is now taking information from care providers for its Child Care Provider List. This list contains information from University-affiliated individuals (faculty, staff, students or their immediate families) who are available to provide part-time or occasional care for children or adult relatives.

Registration forms are available in Room 130 of Employee Services, located at 725 Airport Road, or at the Student Union information desk. Registration forms are due by Feb. 1.

Any Carolina employee or student may request a copy of the most current list or may request to be placed on a mailing list. The newly updated list will be available in mid-February.

Employee Services advertises for new providers two to three times a year, usually with each semester.

Information about a provider's University affiliation and work experience is self-reported. Prospective employers are responsible for verifying information and checking references as needed. Neither UNC nor Employee Services will be responsible for the care given by or the conduct of individuals listed on the UNC Child/Elder Care Provider List. Neither UNC nor Employee Services can warrant or recommend one particular party to another.
