Carolina has joined the University Affiliates program of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and applications are being accepted through Jan. 22 for its Visiting Scholars Center (VSC).
The VSC will be launched officially this fall. The center's purpose is to encourage promising young scholars and practitioners and their innovative and multidisciplinary research.
The VSC will create a national network for young academics and intellectuals, assisting them in their research and career development. The application for interested researchers and practitioners is available at the academy's web site at http://www.amacad.org/visiting.htm
