Susan F. Pierce
Associate professor of nursing, Pierce was named president-elect of the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA). Pierce will serve a total of four years: two years as president-elect and two years as president. NCNA is the state affiliate of the American Nurses Association.
Pamela Johnson Rowsey
Assistant professor of nursing, Rowsey became the first African-American in the history of her alma mater to present the senior convocation address at Mississippi University for Women on Sept. 11. Rowsey's convocation address focused on integrity and perseverance.
