The University Managers Association (UMA) is accepting applications for the Manager of the Year Award, which will be presented at its annual meeting on April 16. Selection is based on University career accomplishments or a specific accomplishment made within the past 12 months of major significance.
The UMA is open to staff and faculty at all levels who have any degree of administrative management or supervision written into their job descriptions.
Any employee may submit a nomination, but only active UMA members are eligible to be nominated. Membership status can be confirmed by contacting Libby Evans at evans@unc.edu UMA board members may not be nominated.
All nominations must include a letter of accomplishments, no longer than one typed page, and must be received by no later than 5 p.m. March 2.

In addition, the UMA nominating committee is seeking nominations by Feb. 23 of current members to fill four vacancies on its board of directors.
