Q When will the potholes in the N4 parking lots be filled?

A The paving for the Cobb lot was originally scheduled for the summer of 2000. However, delays in getting the project out to bid required the Department of Public Safety to cancel the repairs until the summer of 2001 to prevent significant disruptions to the permit holders and CTOPs, the student-orientation program. Paving is scheduled during summer months and around special event activities to minimize the impact on the community. Complete paving repairs for the N4 parking lots are scheduled to occur for the Cobb/Conner areas of the lot beginning June 18 and ending June 26, and the Paul Green Theater Drive portion to begin on June 27 and end July 6. (Schedules tentative based on weather and contractor scheduling.)

The Department of Public Safety's field maintenance section filled the smaller pot holes in late January with available patch material. A work request to have the larger potholes filled by a contractor with the appropriate equipment and materials was submitted at the same time. The contractor will address the larger potholes, which require more substantial fill material, during the week of April 9.

Answer by Cheryl Stout, assistant director of parking services.
