Rare Book Collection exhibit, lecture, honor Irish Nobel laureate

A reception will be held April 18 from 5 to 6 p.m. for the opening of "Time and the Smell of the Earth:" The Life and Writings of Seamus Heaney. An Exhibition of Materials from the Henry C. Pearson Collection. The event will be held in the Pleasants Family Assembly Room of Wilson Library. At 6 p.m., Harvard University Professor Helen Vendler will lecture on "Seamus Heaney's Clarity: Seeing Things."

The exhibition, mounted in the Rare Book Collection area on the third floor of Wilson Library, will be on display from April 18 -- July 15.
