Faculty and students are asked to nominate outstanding teachers for teaching awards. The honors are the Board of Governor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, University Professor of Distinguished Teaching Award, Mentor Award for Lifetime Achievement, Awards to Faculty for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching (Tanner, Friday, Sanders and Sitterson), Tanner Awards to Graduate Teaching Assistants and Distinguished Teaching Awards for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction.
