Dental coverage under the NC Flex program will change for 2001. The new vendor, CompDent, will provide the two options for coverage. The American Dental Plan and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Dental Plan will no longer be offered through the NC Flex program.
Representatives from CompDent will explain the coverage options at two meetings to be held Oct. 10 in the Wilson Library Assembly Room. The meetings will be:
* 11 a.m. to noon; and
* 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Details on the plan will be in the NC Flex 2001 brochure that each employee will receive the first week of October.
CompDent premiums will be deducted from pay on a pre-tax basis. Employees may also choose dental coverage through Fortis Insurance with premiums deducted on an after-tax basis.
