UNC Press has entered into an agreement with netLibrary to sell digital copies of a selected group of its books -- at this point 280 titles -- which will be available through the online lending library.
Focusing initially on scholarly and reference books, netLibrary will provide eBooks to academic and corporate libraries and their patrons who are members of its service.
Advantages of netLibrary include the ability to access publications from anywhere through the Internet, check out eBooks, download eBooks for work offline and pull excerpts from text, with citations automatically included, in the format designated by the user.
