Brenda Schoonover, Carolina's ambassador in residence, asks that faculty make
the following information about the Department of State's Foreign Affairs
Fellowship Program available to interested students:
* The deadline to apply for the Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship
Program is Feb. 16. The program offers tuition, board and a stipend for
undergraduates interested in a graduate degree as well as a junior year summer
institute program and the chance to participate in two summer internships with
the State Department, both in the U.S. and overseas.
* The deadline to apply for the Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program is
Feb. 26. The program offers tuition, board and a stipend for two years of
graduate study as well as the chance to participate in two summer internships
with the Sate Department.
Both graduate and undergraduate fellows are required to maintain a minimum GPA
of 3.2 as well as meet entry requirements for Foreign Service Officers.
The fellowships are sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship
Foundation. For more information, students can see the foundation's web page at

application.
