WUNC-FM had its most successful on-air fund-raiser ever in November. Because the station topped last year's $500,000 goal by $27,000, this year's goal was set at $525,000. And at last count, $619,000 had been raised.
The drive was scheduled to run from Nov. 9 to Nov. 16, but it ended a day early because it went so well. As recently as 1992, the station's goal -- and amount raised -- was only $300,000.
