Second Sunday Reading to feature two writers


The Second Sunday Reading series will feature writer Wendy Brenner and poet Jim Clark on Jan. 14 at 2:30 p.m. in the Pleasants Family Assembly Room of Wilson Library. The talk is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Brenner is a professor at UNC-Wilmington, and her short story collection, Large Animals in Everyday Life, won the 1996 Flannery O'Connor Award.

Clark is writer-in-residence at Barton College and director of the school's Creative Writing Symposium. He has published two books of poems, Dancing on Canaan's Ruins and Handiwork.
