Performing arts schedule announced

The Carolina Union Performing Arts Series 2000-01 season will feature music, opera, jazz and dance from artists around the world.

Performances are:

* Nov. 2, Western Opera Theater's Die Fledermaus;

* Nov. 15, The Flying Karamazov Brothers;

* Jan. 13, Chicago;

* Jan. 25, Little Richard;

* March 2, Sonny Rollins;

* April 4, AEROS; and

* April 18, Moscow Festival Ballet.

Performances begin at 8 p.m. in Memorial Hall.

Season subscriptions are on sale now. Individual tickets go on sale Sept. 6. Prices vary.

Tickets are available at the Carolina Union Box Office in the lobby of the Frank Porter Graham Student Union. Call 2-1449 for VISA or MasterCard orders.
